"El Rocio is a weird town. It looks and feels like the wild west. It's like being in a Cowboy film set. The town is extremely busy at the weekend and extremely quiet during the week. It's the ideal location to visit Donana National Park.
The Hotel La Malvasia is upmarket and ideally placed on the lakefront. The staff are friendly and helpful."
"We had a very pleasant 4-day stay at this welcoming hotel. Check-in was quick and easy, and the reception area was spotless and attractive, creating a great first impression.
Our room was bright, very clean, and comfortable. The only downside was that it wasn’t particularly environmentally friendly, as it overlooked the motorway. However, the location more than made up for it — with a cinema, a few shops, and several restaurants just a short walk away, everything we needed was nearby.
Parking was plentiful. There’s on-site parking available, but we also appreciated that parking on the street outside the hotel was free.
Service throughout our stay was excellent. The breakfast was very good and set us up well for the day. A lovely bonus was the free tea and coffee available 24 hours in the reception area — especially helpful as there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room.
The manager was kind enough to show us the family room, which was spacious and well laid out — perfect for a future visit.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely book this hotel again when we return to Seville. We’ll gladly recommend it to family and friends."
"No key when we arrived early in the morning security helped us out and we had to make a phone call they did answer and apologise and gave us a different room ok stay you get what you pay for so it’s really good value "
"Hotel was very good but I have to say, my family got embarrassed during breakfast. I prepaid breakfast but the personnel who should have been at the front to greet people coming in were not there at that time. She eventually caught up and asked for my room number to which I replied back. After 1 minute or so, in the middle of the breakfast area, she says to me in a commanding and very audible voice 'No No No. . . You have not paid for breakfast'. And she does this that everyone in that room could hear. My family was embarrassed. She should me the list and there are the names of four of our family members. I expected more from this hotel as it gives an impression of professionalism at best. But I felt treated like a 'gate crasher'. Not professional enough for an international clientele. Needed more training. It is difficult for me to recommend this hotel to my friends because of such experience."
