The grounds at the hotel are amazing. The tropical gardens that surround the guest rooms, paths, and pool make for a very relaxing stay. The rooms are spaced well apart and have a lot if privacy from the covered verandas. The views are incredible. The location is perfect for exploring and taking advantage of the many activities in the area.
This resort far exceeded my expectations. Even though it was low season, and the resort appeared to be almost empty of guests, it felt fully staffed and the service was excellent in every respect. The tour around the resort when you first arrive is great. We were shown the property by Tony Castro. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Outstanding place to stay! Beautiful grounds, great accommodations and excellent staff! We saw so many wonderful birds thanks to their feeding station. My stay at Los Lagos could not have been anymore magical! The resort is beautiful, so many hidden places to explore. I saw so many birds, lizards, wild boars and other critters during my walks. Went here for our honeymoon after getting married on the beach. This provided the perfect intimate, secluded, and romantic setting we both have ever experienced. The view from the hotel is incomparable! You can have a very nice breakfast (free) surronded by a breatiful garden while the volcano is right in front of you! There is also a rose garden in the backyard of the hotel. Although it's named as garden, it is really an epitome of larger rain forest! Very nice!!!!! A lot of humming birds! We stayed in Villa Jade at Villas Jawara and it was incredible! The property has the best view of the Arenal volcano, is beautifully furnished and decorated, and the service from Santiago was exceptional. Would highly, highly recommend this property and we will definitely be back.

This was such a great place to stay! The views were awesome, it was very quiet and peaceful, and it was very unique to stay in a dome. We saw so many hummingbirds and butterflies. The caretakers were the most helpful, friendly, generous people. They went out of their way to help us with anything we needed and they also had a cute friendly dog that greeted us. Just a few minutes away there were a couple restaurants to eat at and it was a 5 minute car ride to Rio Celeste. Highly recommend this...
