The hotel was located right in the beautiful town of Avallon, walking to everything. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The room and hotel was beautiful and comfortable. we were in France for three weeks and this was one of our favorite towns and hotels, and the restaurant was the best meal we had during our entire trip! Jola, at the front desk, was especially sweet and helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend staying here,

It says that you have to contact the property for check in instructions and lists a phone number. It took us multiple attempts to reach the hotel, and when we did get through they said they didn't speak English and hung up (the listing says they speak English and French). This was the second hotel in a small village we stayed in (other was in Azay-le-Rideau), and I absolutely loved this one, too. This charming hotel in a 1700's home was at the top of the hill, a block down from the Basilica. The staff was wonderful, the room was very comfortable and clean and updated, with plenty of room for me and my luggage (my room had a double bed).
