The stay at Hostellerie Sarrasine was more than lovely. The grounds are well kept and beautifully tended. The room was traditional and had modern technology. The best part was the food and service. The Famille Bévy had the most delicious French food; their cook incredible. The Bresse chicken is a must. The wine options phenomenal. The Famille Bévy were accommodating and so very warm to us. Would highly recommend this place for any looking to warm the soul.

The hotel has changed hands since the last time we stayed but the atmosphere remains. A bit quaint and we did have a room overlooking the river. Quite nice. Rooms are small but adequate. Breakfast is extra and just minimal with coffee and croissants. Front staff was very chatty and friendly. It is about 2 or 3 blocks to reach restaurants and we tried two different ones and both were quite good.

This hotel was relatively new so the rooms were good size. The bed, bathroom and TV were also quite new. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. I think he had only been on the job a few weeks. However there was one problem - with all the rooms. When you want to close the door, the mechanism sticks, so you really have to close the door hard to get it to close. And some people were having problems with this, so at night a couple of times you would heard people having to slam their door...
