I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. It was close to many WW2 historical spots. The room was spacious and well kept breakfast was very nice. The owner was nice and greeted us upon are arrival to show us are room and give us are key. There is nice restaurant on the property which had great food.
A very peaceful a quiet Chateau tucked away in the French countryside. The rooms have been renovated, but also still provide an authentic experience. We enjoyed wandering the grounds, taking in all of the charm of an authentic French estate.
This is a multi building Bed and Breakfast with rooms set up in different buildings around the estate, which was very unique. The owner is also very charming.
Very lovely atmosphere, room and shared spaces. The host was truly warm, welcoming and caring. Location is close to the coast and small villages with plenty of restaurants and things to enjoy. Highly recommend staying and enjoying the rural feel and quiet of the home.
Staff was fantastic. Breakfast could not have been better; eggs and bacon to order, fresh coffe, local cheeses, fresh bakery, juice, preserves, toast, everything I could want.
Room was spacious, with comfortable bed, large bathroom with towel warmer, plenty of hot water. Room had everything we needed.
Would definitely stay again.
We loved our stay here! There are beautiful gardens in the secluded courtyard area that created a wonderful ambiance. Best of all - the couple that manages the place were exceptionally helpful & went out of their way to assist me.with a travel issue I was having.
Matthew (spelled diff in France) was an excellent host and was quick with any questions we had about the area. We have no complaints at all! The breakfast is what we expected, room cleaned each day. One block from the marina and restaurant choices. my wife's only complaint was the French eat dinner so late! D-day festivities were close enough for a quick drive down country roads. Love the area. Will definitely stay again!
I was fortunate enough to get a room from a last minute cancellation at La Granitiere. DDay in Normandy and EVERYTHING was booked. Nine room hotel that had, years prior, been a beautiful home. Absolutely beautiful and charming!
