Excellent room and large, well-equipped bathroom! The delightful owner even offered us a fan for the room as the weather has been quite warm. She is very sweet but speaks no English. A lovely country place.
Newly updated rooms in a convenient location with a very friendly, accommodating staff. (When the handle of our luggage needed fixing, they promptly offered us use of a complete screwdriver set.) Both the room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. A 5 - 10 minute drive to the dining and tourist area of Alencon. This property was in an excellent location to the Martin Family Home/ Alencon Sanctuary as well as various other important Roman Catholic landmarks and churches. This property was also very clean, and the staff was often very helpful. Furthmore, checking in and out was a breeze. I would stay there again.
I imagine its just the age of the hotel showing and not so much the upkeep. We reserved this after showing up to 5 Themes and it being a room in the owners house. We weren’t comfortable staying there so we stayed here. It was the right decision. Definitely not a bad place and I won’t talk bad about it but I do think they could change a few things. That is all
Was great. Only downside we got in a little late and went to the restaurant to see the menu and was greeted with we are full and there were open tables. That was ok, we found something around the corner down the street and it was amazing
This is a fascinating little mini-farm in a centuries-old house. She has chickens, goats, and a miniature pony. Lovely places to relax on a lounge in the sun or eat out under an umbrella in the garden. Its 18-inch thick walls are perfect soundproofing. The silence is a welcome relief from a busy city.
