THIS is a superb choice. We felt safe and oriented because it is near multiple forms of transportation. The hotel is very clean, the hotel staff are attentive, helpful and friendly. The breakfast would be reason enough alone to stay here: the choices are first class and inmaculately presented. The breakfast staff are polite and efficient. I do not know if you can do any better than Thon Hotel EU. The day we arrived we were greeted by the Hotel Manager and he was extremely kind and helpful....

This hotel takes a bit to get used to, but when you start seeing the artistry of the place, the roughness dissipates. The only hard engineering is where it is important - the plumbing and the air conditioning. Both worked perfectly. Breakfast was also very good, though I can only vouch for the "Healthy" option. Oh - the room was also VERY quiet and the curtains could make it very dark. Great sleeping.

But it's not for everyone: the rooms are tiny, and the stairs are very narrow and steep. Even for Europe, the rooms are tiny, and the stairs are narrow and steep. We were a couple staying with carry-on bags only, and we had no place to unpack. Hotel is in great location. Good amenities, clean and decent room size. However what makes any stay better even if other issues arise is the personnel. I have to say everyone that I came across were so hospitable and doing their job to the higher level.
