The Ibertel Fleesensee is a great hotel for short or longer stays. The location on the lake is beautiful and it is incredibly quiet and peaceful. The hotel mainly caters to German tourists that like to use the spa, so many guests are in robes during the day, but for business travelers this is also a great hotels with good facilities and great staff. The hotel was located conveniently for access into Mûritz National Park, especially by bicycle. The restaurant at the hotel had an excellent dinner. I was surprised when they did not give me the two story room, with the balcony, that I reserved and paid for. They also asked me to pay for my room a second time. They gave me a less roomy one story room, with no refund for the difference. I don’t know if these problems were caused by Expedia or the hotel, but it was a little unsettling.
My 5 day stay was ideal for what I needed. Peace, Quiet, and close to nature. I started each morning with a jog down the lake before breakfast. The restaurant was the best food I ate in Europe. The converted early 1900's barn was a touch of old Germany that really added to my trip, which up until this point I had been staying at typical American style hotels.
