After my latest stint working in Afghanistan, I needed to see some green and blue and wanted to just relax. I was initially unhappy because the resort was overbooked, and they wanted to put me in a nearby 4-star resort for two of my six nights, Candi Beach Resort. After some negotiating, I was upgraded for those last four nights at Rama Candidasa, to make up for the inconvenience.

The two friendly owls you could hold were a nice little surprise as well as an animal lover! They hold events on certain nights and in our two nights there had a Balinese cake experience and a cultural dance during dinner. Can’t say enough about them and will always remember the nice ladies behind the bar.

Wonderful hotel with great beach. The gym is one of the nicest i have ever been to. Food is good from the health club as well. One thing I did not know prior to booking was the gym is not available most morning due to private functions. Moat days I could not get into the gym until after 11am. Other than that it's a wonderful hotel, highly recommend.
During our first night there we had some issues with the air conditioner, which the staff tried to resolve straight away and kept on checking on during our whole stay to make sure that it was working fine and that we were comfortable. There is also a clinic on site which was very helpful as my mom fell sick during our trip and to make us feel right at home the hotel sent us a Get Well Soon bouquet to our room. We stayed a week for our 25th anniversary. Perfect for that occasion. It would be inappropriate with children, infirm or elderly - stone stairs to anywhere, lots of quiet, mostly honeymooners. The staff made an effort to learn our names/circumstances and seemed sincerely invested in our good stay. Shout out to Mira. This hotel was top notch from the very beginning! The staff is extremely welcoming and genuine, they truly want you to have a fantastic experience and learn about the Balinese culture. The accommodations were modern while maintaining a rustic and traditional charm. Overall, the hotel had an ambiance of total relaxation. The pool and spa were great.
