We loved everything about this place. So much host and then also modern. The people are so nice and supportive. The location is great. Don’t forget to stop in the local restaurant. You will be surprised about the high end food. And the local store has lots of goodies.
This was the highlight of our stay in Portugal. The owners of the property (Marta and Iker) are fabulous hosts. They made us feel completely at home. As both of them have experience in the restaurant trade, breakfast (which is included) and snacks were exemplary. They make their own jams/preserves and will even cook you a three course meal if you wish. Armandino and Conceição were terrific hosts. Made us feel right at home. Served a nice little breakfast and coffee. Located a short drive to the center of town. Very easy access to all the places we wanted to visit. Would recommend staying here.
Loved the quaint Casa da Roda. The property is in need of new carpet and paint in the common areas. But the room was nice and clean and quiet. The refrigerator didn’t work (it was plugged in but the one lonely beer and one juice in it were warm and sad). The breakfast was great! Didn’t get to enjoy the indoor pool because they charge extra for it (surprising). Only the outdoor pool was included. I would think they would include the main indoor facilities and just charge for treatments like most...
