We arrived Dec 24th to check in, only to find out that I made the reservation for the 25th by mistake!! This could have been a disaster but the front desk agent really helped us out. He was able to get us rooms that evening and to cancel the room for the next night, even though we had passed the deadline. He was so very helpful! The rooms were very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast had many offerings. Additionally, the location was very convenient for us.
My stay in Bad Urach was nothing short of enchanting. Our room was comfy for 3 and we had a view of the castle at the top of the mountain. They have a trout pisciculture and you cannot go without having one for dinner. There is good hike up to the castle and a lot of cycling. Breakfast was really good and included.
I recommend. Good bed. Quiet. Helpful front desk staff. Airport shuttle for €5.
The only thing I did not like, was that coffee in the lobby was not free. A/C was ok, not great. Restaurant closed earlier than stated hours, which was a problem.
If you're a traveler, there is no better location. You step put of the hotel, and in three minutes, you're in the terminal. Also, the restaurant in the hotel is plain amazing! Delicious food, excellent selection of local wines!
This was my favorite place we stayed on our whole trip. My only complaint was the room was a little on the small side, but easily overlooked with all the pros! It was cheap, it was comfortable, the staff was extremely helpful in helping me get out transportation sorted out when our train got cancelled. It is very close to the train station, I would absolutely stay here again!
