A night's deposit was taken from my Visa credit card, when I checked in, I was told it will be returned. I then used my China bank card to pay, with the extra deposit. "The staff was very accommodating to help an English only speaking guest. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, great pillows and comforters and the housekeeping staff was great. The restaurant served very good food.The room was a bit musty, but I think it is the nature of the moist climate and that they possibly turn off the ac when the rooms are not in use. There is great shopping within blocks of the area. I will certainly return."

"Ascott is one of the best amongst all serviced apartments. Top notch configuration in the rooms and facilities at the property. I stayed here twice over two week's span. One time, I even got upgraded to a one-bedroom suite. In addition to a wash/dryer combo, the suite had a full kitchen with a very large fridge. Bathrooms are modern with tubs and showers. "We were staying in Foshan as the prices compared to Guangzhou are much more affordable. The Courtyard is a new hotel with comfortable rooms. The two towers are one for the Marriot and one for the cheaper Courtyard which offers a similar good accommodation.
