Sumatakyo Onsen Suikoen
10/10 Excellent
"What a treat it was to stay here. An adventure to get there and magnificently located. Food was plentiful and Japanese style a one would expect."
Kanata Riverview House - Entire Private Home
10/10 Excellent
"It was such a lovely house. It was so nice to have all the space for everyone in the family, and at the same time the games and kitchen allowed us to have more family time together. "
Guesthouse Mikansei
10/10 Excellent
"We loved staying at Mikansei! Our room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed ourselves in the shared spaces, including the kitchen, bathrooms, and communal areas. Our hosts, Claire and Shiro, were incredibly gracious, sharing their knowledge about the Oi river valley and Japan in general, as well as their time, and taking an interest in their guests. They gave us some great advice on making a our day trip up the valley on the Oigawa Railway even better, and invited us to a group dinner / cooking class with other house guests and as a friend from the village. We felt very welcome and taken care of. This is such a beautiful area to explore, and Mikansei made a perfect home base. I only wish we'd had more time there."
Ohgutekohan Shirasagisou
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful place. Highly recommend. 10/10"
