Property requests digital checkin, but you can provide pp & cc info after arrival. Requested same & staff provided access codes to property & room, with credentials check after. Ample breakfast is in common area at requested time. Narrow driveway to front door enables convenient bag drop, but hotel dedicated parking is just down the street. Several supermarkets and good restaurants a short walk away. Each of the 6 rooms is unique and pics of our room were just as experienced. This a beautifully...

Are only disappointment was only booking for one night. Spectacular view, charming host and hostess, George and Aphroditi treated us like family and fed us just as well! Aphroditi is a fantastic cook. This hotel is so lovely! We enjoyed walking to see a 300 year old church and all of The acres of grape, olive, fig, and flower gardens. We ate grapes right off the vine. Thank you for a wonderful visit. We will be back!

Eliathos Hillside Retreat

Archanes-Asterousia

10/10 Exceptional

Beautiful grounds, pool and vistas. Very friendly staff, and breakfast was very good. Just be aware you’re driving narrow country roads to get up to the property, about 1/2 mile outside Archanes. We’d do it again without hesitation, but probably not with the unit we booked. It had a loft bedroom with steep stairs and low ceiling height for half the loft. Fine for shorter folks or younger people. Not ideal at age 70.

Traditional Cretan Houses

Heraklion

10/10 Exceptional

We initially had booked 2 nights here and had fortunately not booked any of our 3 remaining nights in Crete. As soon as we stepped foot in the place, we immediately booked another 2 nights. The house was amazing! It had a full kitchen, loft, wooden spiral staircase, 2 bathrooms, and 2 balconies. The village itself was very quaint and friendly with exceptional views of the surrounding countryside. The local restaurant had delicious traditional food at inexpensive prices and a great balcony view...

We’ve been traveling in Greece for a month and this stay has been the most amazing. The host has thought of every luxury and convenience. From the private pool to the high-end finish out of the houses, it is just stunning. The kitchen is so well stocked to make anything. From the microwave to the oven to the electric griddle to the outdoor gas grill, the washer and dishwasher. The parking for your car is very secure. It’s a quick walk into to the restaurants of Archanes if you don’t want to...

Faistos

A fantastic place to stay. If you want to have a small Greek village experience, you will love this hotel’s location. Yet, it’s an easy drive to several ancient sites and the cool town of Matala. Small family run restaurants are within a short picturesque stroll. The locals are friendly and welcoming. The small village has shops and everything you need for your stay. The local wine is delicious. We had the top floor suite with a private outside area with incredible views of the sea and...

Arolithos Traditional Cretan Village

Malevizi

10/10 Exceptional

This hotel was the highlight of my trip to Crete. The setting and facilities conjure up a traditional Cretan Village with lush greenery, sunny terraces and beautifully decorated rooms equipped with a fireplace and refrigerator, plus balcony. Christina at the restaurant warmly greeted me each morning for a sumptuous breakfast and provided wonderful advice on local specialties and wine. I was greeted each morning by the sound of sheep bells in the valley below. I would highly recommend this...

Matala Dimitris Villa

Faistos

10/10 Exceptional

This is a great place to stay in Matala. It has parking and is a quick walk to the beach/caves/restaurants instead of parking in the main town lot which is a nightmare and often full. We drove from Heraklion did Knossos and ended tte day here then the next day we did Gortyn/Hagia Triada/ Phaistos and ended here. Perfect vase for that! The pool is beautiful and has plenty of sun loungers. The communal balcony/patio area is pretty and you are provided with close pins to hang your wet items. We...
