We liked the resort very much. It‘s a nice and clean place and staff is nice and friendly. The reason why the resort does not receive 5 stars from us is, that everything was way too expensive. We know it is an island and that everything has to be transported from the main land. But there are islands around (e.g. Koh Mook) where you only pay a third. Also the problem is that there is no other restaurant around (except the friendly man close by who cooks dinner for you and sells fruits and water)...

I cannot think of a better place to have based our island adventures. I am so glad that we chose to stay at the more tranquil southern end of the island--so much less chaotic and crowded than the main tourist centers up north. Amazing staff and villa will make your stay luxurious and seamless. We had the most accomadting stay with Alanta Villa and I highly recommend staying their if you are ever in Koh Lanta. They picked us up from the Pier at no charge. The head staff member gave us a local cell phone to have and use during our stay to make things easy in contacting them.
