Public transport in the area is lacking, so without a car you'll need to walk to station c. 20 mins or to town centre c. 13 mins. No problem as long as the weather is fine. :)

De Broeierd is a beautiful, large old farmhouse built into an interesting and very cozy hotel with a very good restaurant at one end and a lovely "bistro" at the other end. Large outdoor seating areas add to the comfort. The rooms (we had two-level rooms with balconies) are spacious and comfortable, beds very comfortable, but you should be able to climb the typically Dutch steep narrow stairs up to the sleeping area. Our rooms had a few minor glitches (door alarm started beeping...
The staff here were exceptional. They went above and beyond to help my stay be more pleasant. They even suggested ways to help me save money while I was there. One night I ordered room service and the chef had already left. So the front clerk went and made it for me. That's quality customer service. I will go back and stay at this hotel again. Highly recommend it.
