Our stay at the Country Inn was eventful as a near hurricane blew through the area knocking out power to the hotel, and surrounding, for over 7-hours. Altnough, the situation wasn't ideal it gave the opportunity for the staff to shine. They did. Helpful, professional, kind and friendly is the only ways to describe this group. Even in emergency mode they remained calm and professional throughout. Our 5-star rating on this property is based purely on the staff.
we have stayed at. Even the corners of all rooms and public areas were spotless. The staff was wonderful (front desk, housekeeping, dining attendants). We were very pleased with everything they offered. Also the dining room furniture was extremely comfortable that I stayed in a upholstered seat way too long. The mattress was the best we have ever slept in and we an elite one at home. All in all=TERRIFIC HOTEL!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
All in all this place is great and I will come here again if I come back to Richmond. The property is great and definitely safe. Only complaint is they have a Keurig in the room under the TV with a power outlet behind the tray when you slide it out but you cant put the plug in the outlet and it isn't hooked up even if you could force it in. It's fine though because you can move the entire tray and plug it in right beside the TV. I also wish there was more coffee/tea in the room but these are...

I arrived during a huge storm and the wifi was out making it really hard to check people in. Ben was amazing and went the extra mile to make sure I, and my daughter who is in a wheelchair, got a room on the first floor that was handicap accessible. To start, there are (4) hotels in this little area - The Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, a Hampton Inn and another hotel past that. It might get confusing to find the Holiday Inn Express.
