Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was clean. Excellent restaurant in hotel, also includes breakfast. Be mindful, though, if you are mobility challenged as there is no elevator- ask for ground floor. Parking can be a challenge, but can be worked out. Staff was courteous and helpful. We would stay here again.
We only spent one night here but it was one of our favorite places of the two week trip. The house is very nice, well kept, and comfortable. We stayed in the Rum room, which is spacious and luxurious. Easily one of the nicest rooms we’ve ever stayed in.
The breakfast was great, and the dining room is open and pleasant, and the food was delicious. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful too. Also, the garden and the view are hard to beat.

Staying at this hotel just made our stay on the Isle of Skye ten times better than I had hoped for. The hotel included dinner every night with our stay which ended up being a great idea. The food was excellent and not having to drive the narrow, twisty roads after dark was a plus. They have two living rooms, a small bar room and the dining area so there are plenty of spaces to spend a relaxing evening. The rooms are newly refurbished and gorgeous. Beautiful location halfway between Portree and Uig, perfect for exploring the Trotternish peninsula. The premises are spotless and in excellent condition. The hosts were very accommodating and personable. Breakfast was delicious. Note: if you do not have a car, transportation could be tricky. Nearest restaurants are 20 minutes away by vehicle. Would stay again. Highly recommend Loch Eyre House!
This was hands down one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at! Our room was clean, cozy, and full of amenities. Our daily free breakfast was unlike anything we’ve ever experienced so many options and made to order. The dinner was amazing everything was cooked to perfection! The Haggis bon bons are a must try! The staff are incredible, so informative, and so accommodating. This was such a beautiful place, we will definitely be back on our next trip to the highlands.

During our 2-week visit to Scotland, I managed to catch RSV. I was miserable. And by the time we reached Portree, I was struggling to breathe. My husband spoke to the Cuillin Hills hotel staff about how to go about seeing a doctor and they immediately got to helping us out. The desk staff spent over an hour on hold with the NHS to help establish my "temporary resident" status so that we could even get in to see a doctor.
