We had a pleasant stay! It was very hot when we arrived. The first room we were given did not have working air conditioning. However, we spoke with Josh at the front desk, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a room with working air conditioning. Josh is a valuable employee and deserves a raise in how well he goes above and beyond for the customers. One main point, all the rooms are advertised having working air conditioning. Fantastic stay in a beautiful village right on the edge of the Cotswold. The entire place was really lovely, including the staff - I actually booked for the wrong date but they quickly fixed everything and was able to adjust. Rooms was excellent, very comfortable and beautifully decorated, I also had dinner in the garden and the food was delicious. Added bonus that the village is where some of Downton Abbey scenes were filmed so that was fun!

The folks checking us in Angie was exemplary example. Our TV did not work and she gave us an upgrade to Exec room with awesome TV and all channels. Later organized an amazing spaghetti dinner for us (on demand made to order just for us as vegetarians!!!!) . The lady serving us in the dinner room was most friendly and took great care of us. The chef is really awesome !!!!! and the English breakfast was delicious with home made veg sausages for us!!!!!

Breakfast buffet is quite limited but adequate. Toast, jam, assorted fruits, sausage, bacon, eggs, beans and hash browns. Scrambled eggs would have been better. Room was quite large but old. Peeling paint on the baseboard, old granny wallpaper and a bathroom from 1980. The toilet won't flush without a lot of extra effort. Air conditioner would have been appreciated.
