A truly wonderful stay. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The location was excellent, set within a wonderful winery setting that made the experience even more memorable. Being a working, family-owned winery gave the property a unique charm and authentic atmosphere. The accommodation itself was fabulous — comfortable, stylish, and beautifully maintained. Highly recommended and would gladly return.

This five-star stone hotel is a true gem. The manicured gardens are stunning — every corner immaculately kept, perfect for peaceful morning walks. But what truly elevated our stay was the staff: warm, professional, and attentive at every turn. The management clearly sets a high standard, and it shows in the seamless, thoughtful service throughout — from check-in to housekeeping to dining. A beautiful property backed by a team that genuinely cares. Highly recommend! Management should be proud!

Wonderful team. Great food. Big rooms. If you are in the Camino they will even pick you up from nearby routes. Note they are creasing this lovely eco farm so some areas are a work in progress. The owner is so special. Ask her about what she led in Porto before she and her family began creating their dream Ecopeneda. - impressive was in Porto their Big nature gardens … Great hiking and exploring lovely towns. My wife and I stayed here while visiting Peneda-Gerês National Park. Sao Bento was a fantastic location for exploring the park and trails in the surrounding area. The hotel is a short 10-15-minute drive to Campo do Geres, where we went on a great hike (Cidade da Calcedónia trail) followed by a terrific drive through the park, along the Rio Homem (lake) to the Spanish border, and back down N-308-1.
