The location is GREAT on the main road in Appenzell. The staff is super friendly and helpful in suggestion things to do. The breakfast was very good as well. The only to be aware of (which wasn't a negative for us) is the Church right across the street rings its bells until pretty late and again at 6:30 am. They are awesome bells, but very loud. I really enjoyed stay in this hotel. The price is reasonable and location is convenient (bus is 2 min away: and the train station is about 7-min walk.) Breakfast is very good. The only downsides are that my room is slightly noisy as it faces the street; public transportion is limited on Sunday as it's a small town and it doesn't have elevator. But these are not problems for me and I would stay here again if I come back.
