The four-bedroom house was well appointed; the kitchen is huge. Get the Honeymoon suite if you can it's immense! The c.1880s decorations in the B&B are impressive. The broad back deck is very large. Access was easy and convenient. Laundry on the first level.

We have visited Abingdon multiple times and this is where we always choose to stay. The facility looks new, it’s clean, and the rooms are very nice. Abingdon is easily accessible from the hotel location.
We only live about an hour away, but we wanted to stay near The Lincoln Theatre since we were attending the Macabre Monster Movies film festival.
The hotel is literally steps from The Lincoln, and while Marion is a small town, there are some great dining options nearby. We had a late lunch at the Wooden Pickle just across the street (our favorite, we've been there numerous times), and dinner at Moon Dog Brick Oven right next door. If you are looking for a place to completely unplug and relax here's the place. The cabin I stayed in had no tv or radio, and that was exactly what I wanted and needed.
My wife and I were just looking to get away somewhere new. West Jefferson is a nice drive from Charlotte and the town is very welcoming with great restaurants. We spent time downtown W. Jefferson shopping/eating, then traveled to adjacent towns for a litte more sites. If you're traveling to West Jefferson, I definitely recommend staying at Buffalo Tavern. (And each room has a bathroom. Though it's not seen in the pictures.) We'll be back - planning to add W. Jefferson and Buffalo Tavern...
Had a really good experience. Got there a little early and my room was ready so i was allowed to check in. Friendly staff at front desk recommended outstanding local dinner (Pizza Perfect) that offers delivery. Free breakfast had a lot of options and was very much appreciated.
Excellent stay at this hotel. Room was very large, clean, and comfortable. We had a king room and the large couch in the room was definitely a bonus.Bed was comfy. Shower head can use some updating but water was nice and hot. Awesome free breakfast options..eggs with cheese, bacon, seaoned potatoes, grits, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries, bagels, toast. Very good coffee. I will definitely stay here again and recommend.
This is an older Motor Lodge with some room updates. The owners have done a good job with replacing old flooring with good tile and laminates, and good shower/tub area. Some new furniture pieces were also nice. Rooms are bigger than expected, which is nice for storing bikes and other recreation equip indoors. Wife said that there were a couple of hairs in the bathroom but overall clean. Blankets and sheets were clean. Upgraded tv's but the hotel is old. Good deal for the price. $10 cleaning fee for dogs.
