Very clean, neat, & the staff was absolutely fantastic!! Food was great! Oh the saunas were so so so relaxing.
The only reason I checked off the area outside of the property being unsafe is that Ecuador was under marshall law so we did not feel safe outside the hotel. BUT WE FELT TOTALLY SAFE & COMFORTABLE INSIDE!!!

Beautiful authentic boutique hotel. I had to stay one night on my way to Galapagos and did not want to stay at one of those chain modern places. This hotel is very charming, with hammocks outside and place to walk safely on the property. Bonus airport transfer included. Onsite restaurant open till 10PM with great food.
Considering the prices in the area, this hotel was a great value. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Close to the airport as well. We had two rooms and stayed for two separate dates and there were no issues. Seems like a family-owned hotel (but not sure). Either way, it is safe pick and very fair price.
I was very impressed with both the people and the facilities. I traveled alone to a place that was completely strange to me. I never felt alone. Everyday at breakfast (very tasty) the staff made sure that my plan for the day would work. They had a sincere interest in my well being and my experience in Ecuador. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. They made my trip wonderful.
I chose this hotel for its proximity to Quito's Plaza Grande and for the hotel's own plaza to show those traveling with me some of the architectural style, knowing that we wouldn't have a lot of time in Quito. But when we arrived we were blown away!

Exceptional hotel located centrally in Quito! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and kind. The house is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. The bedding was top notch, I didn’t want to wake up! But the best part which I will miss throughout the rest of my travels was getting a massage on site each day from Darwin. How nice to have a 90 minute massage after a day of exploring. Don’t skip booking a massage!
We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite... 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and washer/dryer. Excellent unit. A/C worked perfectly. The dryer actually got hot and dried our clothes. The kitchen was fully stocked with a real coffeemaker (not the horrible single pod that most hotels now use). There was a full size refrig and freezer with ice trays. My time while brief was exceptional. The excellent location and value made it ideal to see everything I needed. I either walked or took a short taxi ride to get to town or different points of interest. The staff was friendly and accommodating and I at the delicious breakfast each morning and even had some dine in food that was fantastic!
Arrived middle of the night, lost luggage, terrible rental car. Hotel staff went way above and beyond in helping me address every issue in righting my ship to start two week stayou (cell phone, medical, auto, local information, instant personal requeststatement addressed). Really cute hotel. Located near the nightlife area but far enough away so not loud or crazy. The beds are very comfy and the room was clean and the staff was welcoming. We paid about $60 a night (including taxes).
I somehow thought this would be closer to the airport, but it was about a 30 minute drive. Nevertheless, Llalo was very clean, safe, professionally operated and the breakfast on the porch was ideal. The rates were appropriate for the lodging. I highly recommend it.
