Bonneville Hot Springs Resort & Spa

4/10 Poor

"Room smelled like poop. Found poop stuck to the bottom of the pillows on the bed. Housekeeping rude and bothered that they had to come back and clean the hair that was left in the shower. Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Nothing was even offered, but to give me a new pillow. Unacceptable. Managers do not get back to you when contacted. How unprofessional. Unclean room. Rush cleaned and not very well as it wasn’t even ready 10 minutes prior to check-in. The springs were wonderful and I am happy that this resort abides by the no kids from 8 - 10 and adults only in the outside school as some other resorts don’t follow the rules posted and it is not peaceful."

"The staff was extremely rude when checking in. We had called to inquire about early check in and the phone call went well. She said because of the holiday they couldn’t guarantee an early check in but said we could check when we were close and if there was a room ready we could check in then. No mention of a $65.00 fee for early check in. When we arrive the front desk lady was very rude and acted like we were an inconvenience. I could understand a reasonable fee for early check in but that was way too much. It wasn’t busy at all and I was very frustrated by how we were treated. We won’t be staying there ever again."

"Room was filthy (crusty stains on the chair, hairs on the sheets, grime on light fixtures and sink faucet, no trash can in room, room smelled bad, dirty lampshades and headboards), one of the beds was broken and sank on the side, broken window screen, loud traffic noise, minimal breakfast options. No offer to clean room, switch rooms, or give discounts were offered by staff. Photos online were misleading and dishonest. Bait and switch dump, worst hotel stay."

"The lodge is pretty good! Went with kids and they loved the pool and hot tub and front lawn to play games. Our experience at the restaurant was not the best. It took a very long time to get our food which is hard with two little kids sitting there. To their credit they gave the kids a snack and acknowledged an issue with the pizza making process. My biggest complaint is the nickel-and-time $15 parking fee. The lodge is in the middle of the Gorge, 50 miles from an airport. There is no feasible way to get there other than a car. Parking fees can make sense in an urban setting where there is limited space and public transportation/taxi available. This just feels like another junk fee."
