This hotel is perfectly acceptable. You are in Brantome to experience the city and and the surrounding area, not get the full spa experience. The staff was very helpful and helped us non-french speakers out with all of our questions. It was a great jumping off point for the rest of our city touring.
We booked for one night at the chateau de la cote and the experience surpassed our expectations. The castle is beautiful, the grounds well kept, the vue is incredible wherever you look, the people/staff were friendly, and efficient. We were upgraded to two large connecting rooms very spacious, tasteful furniture.. Bathroom was clean and Contemporay We also stayed for dinner and had an excellent meal on the terrasse. The pool was also relaxing after a long day driving..
What a find. If you’re looking for the authentic farmhouse experience, this is the place. The host gives you his all! Breakfast incredible overlooking the gardens. A remote respite in utter beauty.
We loved this hotel. Amazing setting on the river with picturesque views in two directions from our corner room. Utterly charming in every way. The self serve Italian coffee machine in the salon is fantastic. Walk to everything in the delightful village with many riverside park areas. We took short drive to Brantome for an excellent dinner. Can’t edit to go back!
Most helpful and friendly family owned hotel staff! Very safe on site locked parking. The hotel has a fantastic swimming pool and outdoor patio. This is not a 5 star hotel, but the staff make you feel like you are their favorite customer. Lots of open air feel to this place. AC worked great.
The hidden gem of Dordogne! I’m not sure where to start - the incredible hospitality, the beautiful surroundings, or the fantastic accommodations. Breakfast was sumptuous - Martine is quite the cook and many ingredients are sourced from the grounds. Whether you want to stay for a couple of nights or a week or more, there is plenty to see and do, and then you can go back and enjoy the comfort of Domaine du Pouzelaine.
