We stopped for a mid-week one night stay. Only a couple other people were staying there and it felt like we had the whole place (17 rooms total) to ourselves. They have peaceful grounds along a river and a great patio just behind the historic house. The staff was friendly and informative. We had a GREAT stay here. What a great place!! Great location to the charming downtown area. We went for dinner at the sushi restaurant (phenomenal!) and we went to the farmers’ market, I went to the salon called Element (an aveda concept salon) and it was fabulous!! We had a pizza at Gratzi, went for a walk along the river walk... there is SO much to do that is only 2 blocks away from this hotel! It’s fabulous!!!

This place is special. It has a traditional charm that we enjoyed so much! This must have been quite the meeting place back in the day. The entire inside of the hotel is covered in carved wood paneling with crystal chandeliers and baby grand piano in the lobby. We got a suite, as we were in town for a competion with another family.
