Warm and welcoming working family farm.. Lovely room overlooking the Devon countryside. Great base for visiting the many sites on the Devon Cornwall border. Very near Cotehele (NT). A short drive to Plymouth and Saltram House (NT) and good roads to the heart of Cornwall. Spent three nights and wished for more.
Charming hotel in rural countryside of England. It is a five star restaurant with rooms to rent. Not at all like a regular Hotel or Motel More like a Bed and Breakfast, except that they also serve dinner and has a bar and service is excellent.
Room was clean, comfortable, and considering the heat, the fan being on when I got there made the temperature inside pleasant rather than hot. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and well stocked. Only 1 minor (very minor) comment, and that is that there were 4 small milk pots in my room when I got there, all of which went into the coffee I made immediately after checking in. I did get more from reception, so as I say, minor comment. I will definitely be back in...
Beautiful old house in a lovely wooded valley, with a wonderful view. Very warm, welcoming and helpful staff. Sadly, the restaurant we've enjoyed on previous visits was under renovation so we had to dine elsewhere, but the hotel provided helpful and valuable alternate recommendations.
