Close to the water. Some rooms have views. Pool was in good shape.

Hotel Villa Bahia is beautiful! It is an old mansion that's been renovated and turned into a hotel. We stayed in the "Cochin" room (all the rooms have names instead of numbers and come with old fashioned keys/locks that are most likely original). The room is basically a duplex suite. For those who like a hotel with character. Great location within quick walking distance to Mercado Modelo and also the best of Pelourinho.

Everything about this Pousada was great! I have to admit, perhaps my positive experience was amplified by the fact that I had just spent 7 horrible days at a gross hostel (yes, hostel, not hotel). A modern and well set room into an old building seems to be fantastic.

Great personnel great service.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Security even waited outside with me for the Uber, which was cheap and made staying at the hotel even more attractive because of the great rate I got.
