"Shirley and Gary are a wonderful couple, very helpful and always got time for a chat. Gary's breakfast is great and sets you up for the day. The room was spacious and clean with tea and coffee replenished daily. Free parking at the front is a bonus and you are situated handily between the promenade and the shops on Lord street. All in all we had an excellent 3 nights here."

We drove up to the hotel I had booked and my partner was immediately disappointed to have arrived at a Holiday Inn located in an office park, but by day 4 of our visit to the Wigan area to visit friends and family, we both appreciated how great a spot we had found for our stay. We didn’t use the amenities as we just needed a bed for the night and quick check-in and getaway. Location was great for us, close to a relative we were picking up before heading out to Manchester airport. We enjoyed chatting in (rusty) German with the friendly lady on the front desk. Forgot her name unfortunately. Would definitely use the hotel again and will recommend to other visitors coming to the area from overseas.
Very cool spot and very unique experience for sure. Felt like a true Liverpool experience, near everything but nice and quiet. Do be prepared for stairs (which they do tell you about).
Very spacious one bedroom apartment with washer dryer. Very clean. Location could not be better! Everything was walkable from there. The listing mentioned noise from Matthew street, but it was bad at all. For the excellent price, one could always bring ear plugs.
