Location was a big draw . I would stay again for cleanses and a superior staff. Michael from 2nd shift thoughtful and kind went way above to make sure we were able to accomplish a lifetime goal of seeing the northern lights.
A Staff, amenities, great eats and the midnight sauna a must. Easy transportation and great ice cream. Also, can see Northern Lights from hotel in a food night.
Everything looked clean and smelt clean. Stayed 2 days. Had staff ask if we wanted anything changed out for us. We didn’t check out breakfast due sleeping in. Bed was super comfy! Friendly staff and had smiles 😁
We actually have a two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment. The complex has a forest trail and an automobile museum on site. The buildings are well maintained. The free shuttle to railroad depot and airport is very easy to use.
We had a wonderful stay at the Alaska Heritage House. The hostess was wonderful as she was a joy to chat with & was immensely helpful at providing recommendations & directions for dinner & things to do. She was also a fabulous cook, making a wonderful breakfast. The best part, at the end of the meal there was an AMAZING chocolate pecan praline cake...for breakfast. Yes. Breakfast. Loved it. Upon arriving at the hotel in the middle of the night at Fairbanks, the hotel staff was wonderful. Our room keys were ready to go and absolutely no hassle. We were able to store our luggage for our excursion to the Arctic Circle until the next morning before departing on the train. The hotel was kind enough to provide a shuttle for approximately 8 of us taking the train that morning. Will definitely look into staying here again on our next adventure to Alaska and Fairbanks.

The hotel is located in downtown. It's right along the river.They had a nice river walk. It was close to shopping and a lot of places to walk and get food. There's a barbecue place right around the corner and an ice cream truck in the parking lot across the street from the barbecue place that stays open until 10 PM. The staff there always greeted us when we came in. Asked if we were having a good day, if we needed anything. Very friendly, nice. Our hotel room was clean. I felt very secure...
The room was a good value for the money however the walls are pretty thin and my neighbor played their tv well past midnight loud enough that I could hear it through the wall. I notify the front desk but there was no change in the TV volume Enforcement of the required quiet hours policy would be nice to see that it is carried out.
This hotel served our needs perfectly. It was clean, safe, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The only thing of note was that the water in the shower drained slowly so we were showering in about an inch and a half of water.
The free airport shuttle required a reservation. They don't seem to have a regular schedule. When I arrived at the airport, my phone wasn't working so I went to the main hotel call board, but they were not listed with the other hotels. Be prepared for a taxi instead.
