Authentic historic house in well-maintained grounds within a very rural setting. Minor initial problems were quickly and graciously resolved with a room upgrade. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful though not always with consumate skill. Our eventual room bettered any I have had in 5-star hotels. We were made to feel very welcome. Both Chris and Yolanda were so friendly and welcoming. Despite their packed schedule running both a pub and a b&b, they were always cheerful and kind. Parking was free and easy. The room was spacious and comfortable. The fruity shampoo and body shower gel were so fragrant. Breakfast was delicious! And Chris was kind enough to show us a few magic tricks during our breakfast time. It was simply magical. Wishing both Chris and Yolanda a relaxing and wonderful holiday vacation to US next year.
