We needed 2 last-minute rooms and we hit the jackpot here! Super clean, well maintained, free parking, and best of all during this heatwave, wonderful air conditioning! Close to Tintern Abbey (25 minutes) and Cardiff (35 mins).
Only thing lacking are washcloths (or "flannels" as they are referred to in the UK), but most hotels don't stock them we are finding. Highly recommend staying here over Cardiff.
Room was large and beds and pillows very comfortable. We had a nice meal for dinner. Breakfast was included and I had the best scrambled eggs ever. Portions are large and were offered fresh fruit and cereal as well. It was a little cool but in nice weather they have nice outdoor dining and drink area. Very happy with our stay. Friendly staff.
I have stayed many times now and would always recommend. I was stuck by GWR trains this last weekend and the incredible staff went above and beyond to get me checked in quickly and early. I would HIGHLY recommend. Bar is great, food is excellent, and the breakfast is awesome. Stay, trust me.
