The Bull Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western
8/10 Good
"Staff were great. Good location. Breakfast was reasonable."
Crown Hotel Stamford
10/10 Excellent
"Looking for somewhere to stay on our annual road trip between Northumberland and the West Sussex coast we thought we'd give Stamford a go as it's about halfway. On arriving the parking was easy (the hotel has its own car park). We think we made a good call, the hotel is a spotless and located right in the historic centre of Stamford. The staff are excellent, well done Crown, we felt looked after from the warm friendly welcome at reception to the bar and dinner staff who made the dining experience perfect. Looking forward to next year's trip where I think we'll be swinging by Stamford again and staying at the Crown. Thanks again."
Candlesticks

"Arrived early and given key to our room which was ready. Hospitality of the owner was excellent as was the food served in the restaurant. The hotel rooms do need updating and in some cases maintenance Continental breakfast in the room was very good with all items topped up daily. Limited parking but we had no problem on any of the 3 days we were there"
The Arundell Hotel

"Excellent no frills place"
The Barnsdale, Rutland
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed 2 nights with our dog during a tour of the Rutland area and further afield. We were really impressed by the hotel - great location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely walks locally, well maintained facilities, lots of spaces for chilling out, lovely food and welcoming of our dog in all locations. We had a lovely stay and this hotel is high on our list for a return, perhaps without our dog so we can use the spa facilities! The only slight negatives were that the room looked a little tired (we understand that there's a major refurb on the way) but it was perfectly fine and perhaps now is the time to get a good price before the refurb! And, a small gripe, the lovely breakfast was spoiled by having to make our own toast using two toasters that couldn't brown both sides of the bread at the same time (I spend many minutes standing around with others trying to get a decent slice to go with my eggs) - a minor but irritating annoyance. But overall a fantastic stay, thank you."
Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Overall a good stay. I stayed in the cosy double room and all I would say is the bed was really hard. Also the room was right by the door so it was noisy as times. Breakfast was good. We tried booking in for dinner on the first evening however it was full so we ordered a delivery to the hotel as it was late. No food service in the evening which I thought was odd. The hotel did try and book us in for the other nights though."
The Bull Inn
8/10 Good
"Friendly bar staff. Food was good. Chef’s night off and they still made dinner, although they did make us feel a bit guilty for having a friend join us who lived in Bourne. Quiz night, so good fun. Room was clean but bathroom was up some steps which was a bit tricky in the middle of the night. Rooms were quiet. Had a good sleep."
