Without hyperbole, this is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The view out the back of the building—the Wye twisting into the West, flanked by lush green hills—is jaw-dropping. I couldn’t believe it. I took dozens of pictures at different times of day, wanting my loved ones back home to see what I was seeing, but of course, the pics didn’t do the view justice. The guesthouse is also a short drive into Hay, where the walk along the river is lovely, and the bookshops are really fun...
Our stay was truly wonderful from start to finish. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—rich in history and full of character—and the gardens are simply breathtaking. Being able to walk down to the River Usk and wander for miles through the open fields was such a special experience.
