"Check in was efficient and quick, our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is a little small for 2 people at one time especially with the door open. The hotel was convenient to many things and a great location for us."

"dirty stair carpet at the entrance gives a poor introduction. Our basement room was ok for one night. Dinner in the restaurant was good but the attitude of some staff was unfortunate and some were scruffy. Very interesting architecture and history."

"Had a nice room with a sea view plenty of space - shower hot and powerful - good to have an iron and iron board. Beds comfy with charging points. Only gripe is that there was a long mirror next to the wardrobe but no plug near it and a dresser with plug near it but no mirror not very helpful for female travellers"

"Only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is because the check staff tried to charge me for a booking I had already paid for - good job I was on the ball and had a receipt to prove. Room was great (albeit hot) and breakfast was also great, lovely restaurant staff, would definitely recommend and location was also a bonus."
