We chose this based on tripadvisor recommendations, and we were highly impressed. Room was very clean, generously sized and had a breathtaking view over the lake. We ate dinner in the hotel both nights, which is very unusual for us, but the food and service were so good. Most other guests were german, but we only spoke English and were very welcomed. Fantastic hotel! Lakeside does not mean lake view and the light in the bathroom is not adequate for applying makeup, but the service is great and there are lots of great things to do in the area. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone. The pools and sauna area were lovely and the bathrobes and pool bag were a nice touch. The Haldensee is an easy walk from the hotel. On the high end for cost, but a nice vacation retreat for friends and families.
