The hotel is a beautifully converted Salthouse. It has modern amenities but has maintained the old character of the building.
The staff were excellent; very friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay there the next time I'm in Ipswich.
I don’t know that I have enough words to express my gratitude to the staff of this establishment. From technical support when I was having issues connecting to the internet, to sandwiches to stave my jet lag, to a marvelous family meal at Cleone’s. I felt like I was staying with family. Thank you for your kind and generous hospitality, it made the trip lovely.
I had a wonderful visit to Retreat East. The room was wonderful and I took advantage of the free hot tub, steam and sauna. The food for dinner was exceptional and the continental breakfast (also included in the price) was varied and plentiful. I would recommend Retreat East to anyone.
We loved the setting, right in the heart of Long Melford within walking distance of notable historic buildings (Melford and Kentwell Halls, the Medieval Church) and local sops, pus and restaurants. The Mil itself is perfect!
Ginny was very hospitable and gracious. Our room was perfect, and the bed most comfortable. Location was a bit remote, but worth the drive. We didn't eat breakfast there, so can't comment on that, but the menu appeared to have ample selections.
We treated ourselves to one night here after an exciting day visiting Sutton Hoo.

We were greeted warmly and taken to the bar to order drinks and a small snack around 5 pm which was served to us in the garden.
The guest room and bathroom were clean and of good quality.
Dinner at 8 pm was extremely delicious and served with a smile.
This property is a gem in the beautiful countryside and easy to get to despite quite heavy traffic in the surrounding area....
The staff at the Bell were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and it had all the amenities I needed. I especially appreciated the fact that it was possible to block out all light with the window shades. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and that was excellent.
We really enjoyed two nights here in a beautiful old village inn! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food delicious and carefully made to order, and the location peaceful and bucolic - highly recommended to anyone looking for time away from the city!
We got there a little early and they were unbending in enforcement of the check in time, which I thought was a bit unfriendly. Once in our room at 3:00 sharp, it was a good stay.
The Sibton White Horse Inn was a great find. Neil and Jill are friendly ower/operators of this Inn. Food is superb, it is all locally grown organic and wonderfully prepared. The Inn my be a bit tricky to find but worthy of the drive through the beautiful English countryside.
This is a very small property, with only 6 rooms. I like the location, the breakfast in the morning, and the staff. Always willing to help and friendly. Also, the bed has the best duvets you can find. Not sure why that makes it so great, but always rest well here.
