We loved staying here. So peaceful after Paris

This hotel is a gem. It’s close to all the major chateaux but is situated in a beautiful forest. They had bikes for use that we enjoyed as a family. The room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The power went out in the whole region unexpectedly due to an intense storm in the area. We had reservations for dinner, and they figured out how to make us a delicious dinner without power, set up a beautiful candle-lit table, and provided us electric candles for our room. It is a nice intimate atmosphere. The host and hostess are extremely nice. Dinner is also available. My wife left earrings in the room when we checked out, and we were able to get it back from the hostess in we finish exploring the west side of Loire valley!

This hotel is beautiful and very inviting. The rooms were a bit small, which was a challenge, but we made the most of it and got along ok. I would stay here again, but would ask for the largest room they have. The location was wonderful, and the property team was very kind. They need to mix up the menu, as they serve the same 3 items every night. We did ask for a different meal, and they somehow made it happen.

Located along the Cher river, the property is beautifully maintained, impeccably clean, has an enclosed yard where parking is safe, and features stylish rooms with nice views over the city. Bonus: my own room on the third floor features a private roof garden!! The owners are dedicated, friendly, and very helpful; their breakfast in the morning is home-made and delicious. Clean and spacious budget room. Bit of smoke smell and some noise, but excellent value for price.

If you were looking for a small out-of-the-way place with great accommodations low price. This would be a great choice. Not connected to public transportation so having a car available is necessary. Just a short drive to nearby Chambord Castle.

The host was so kind and this is a one-of-a-kind place to stay. Modern and old and charming and cozy. Loved it. Would go back, for sure!

All perfect for a stopover driving south

We spent one night at La Ferme de Marpalu and absolutely loved it! The location is perfect—close to beautiful castles, with plenty of options to hike, explore, and enjoy nature. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. Ingrid and Jean-Paul are wonderfully warm and welcoming. Despite the snow and cold, Jean-Paul came out to greet us personally and gave detailed instructions so we could fully enjoy our stay. Their kindness truly made us feel at home. It’s a lovely domaine.. the rooms are a bit outdated but clean and the staff is wonderful. The spa could use a bit more tending .. but good.
