I had an amazing stay at Bekkan Fujiya Ryokan! The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The baths were absolutely relaxing and beautifully maintained—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. I also loved that they are tattoo-friendly, making it easy to enjoy the onsen without worry. Everything about this ryokan, from the service to the atmosphere, exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing Japanese...

I love cold weather and snow, so that part of Northern Honshu was perfect for me. I also have family in the area to drive me to Zao, which is a lot easier than taking the bus! This hotel is clearly on the older side, but that really didn't detract from the whole experience, which was positive. The bath was relaxing and though it wasn't large, I never felt over crowded. The beds were comfortable~ sort of an amalgam of futon and boxspring. Though I wish they were on the tatami, it was nice...

This resort has an amazing location with a gorgeous view of Lake Hibara and Mt. Bandai, and the Five Colored Ponds. Their staff members are very formal and friendly and has a great restaurant buffet. The rooms and building itself are in okay condition with some scuffs and stains, but overall an excellent place with a very unique gift store with great items like food, snacks, and gifts. The traditional Japanese room is very nice
