Ce n'est pas un penthouse mais un bel appartement de ville avec tout le charme de l'ancien, de hauts plafonds, une cheminée, une suberbe déco, une salle de bain originale et immense. Great location. Parking directly across the street. Restaurant onsite (although it closed at 9:00 p.m. before we could use it) and a bar in the garden and inside where we had a most reasonable glass of wine. Good elevator. Room decent sized and large bathroom with shower. Good sized TV (which we didn’t watch). Kind and helpful receptionist. No complaints at all. Price very reasonable.
excellent find! Their restaurant is michelin starred and although we were unable top have dinner there, the breakfast the next morning was better than any I had ever eaten. Pastries were freshly baked,; juice was freshly squeezed and coffee was individually brewed The meat almost tempted me to give up being a vegetarian.
Friendly staff. The hotel is in a central and busy area, within walking distance of the train station. Light-blocking curtains and soundproof windows guarantee a good night's sleep.
The stay was very average. The hotel staff leave for several hours for lunch and are not around after 8pm. So, be prepared for very thin service. And, the only food service is some yogurt and coffee, only when staff is present since the reception lobby is locked if staff not present.
This is an absolutely stunning and magical place ! We had the impression to really be transported back in time and live in a real castle. And Amélie is lovely, the garden beautiful. Besides the entire village is wonderful and well worth the stop! Come you will not regret it!
