Great location. I was trying to get a B and B in the area and picked this place when I couldn't find one. The hotel itself is connect next to a fairly large, well lit, clean and safe convenience/gas station and the clerks run both the gas station and the hotel front desk. Check in was smooth, and the room very clean, modern and comfortable. I had no expectations for this hotel, or the town, and was stunned by both of them. The hotel was beautiful. Clean, big rooms (we had a 1-bedroom suite), great location, superb breakfast and an unusually helpful staff (including a very early check-in). The location is ideal. Right in the heart of one of the most charming little towns you'll ever visit. Great restaurants and cafes within a short walk, beautiful countryside. I would go back in a minute (if it weren't 4000 miles from my home).

Friendly staff, though they attempted add a breakfast to our charges though we did not ask for it. Our room and the hallway directly adjacent had low support beams...character of a historic property, but watch out walking around! Clean room and facility, and the dinner we enjoyed in the dining room was top-notch! A good value in a central location for the Rochefort area attractions.
