Earlier reviews showed some extreme emotions regarding this hotel. Personally, the opportunity to stay in a lodging from the 1600’s was something I couldn’t pass up. I was not disappointed. The restaurant downstairs added to the ambiance, with the sounds of dishes clattering, clanging bottles, and patrons reveling. If you enjoy staying in small friendly hotels that are old Danish then this is a nice place. The restaurant is dark wood paneling from another time. Books and pictures from long ago decorate the dinning room. The food is very good and good quality. I recommend having dinner on the first night. We had dinner there each night of our three night stay.
