The hotel is modern, spotless, and very peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring North Iceland. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully designed, and Tor who greeted us wonderfully was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with fresh local options. Best strawberries and croissants we ever had. Forest Lagoon is around the corner so it’s a big plus. Also many dining options in the town which is only 5 mins away. Only problem you may have is that icy roads- especially the hill. Parking is plenty and free. A hidden gem with an amazing atmosphere — highly recommended."

"We absolutely loved it. An excellent "cottage" complete for a long term stay with very nice appointments and a gorgeous serene and peaceful view. It is about 30 minutes from towns and grocery stores so plan ahead. The hosts were very helpful and responsive."

"Very interesting hotel near the edge of Lake Myvatn with many wooden sculptures throughout the property. The room was large and clean. The staff was very friendly and supportive with minor requests. Dinner at the onsite restaurant was delicious. The forest ragout had complex yet complimentary flavors. The cod was delicately cooked. I loved their homemade bread."
