We absolutely loved these apartments! Wonderful location, very clean and spacious! They were SO close to everything! Very comfortable bed and pillows! The only downsides were a lack of salt/pepper (most other places we’ve stayed had a few spices/seasonings) and no shampoo/conditioner. I somehow left mine at the last stop and the store was closed so not having even little toiletries was a bit of a bummer and I had to wait till the next day when the store opened.

I would go back to Akureyri just to stay at this hostel. It was absolutely perfect, and the pod idea gives a lot more privacy to the hostel concept. Plus, nice terrace overlooking main street, incredibly friendly staff, good range and tasty breakfast (the pastries are baked right there) and everything was somehow sparkling clean almost all the time. I dont usually give many written out reviews, but this place deserves it.

Charming, cozy, and clean cabin with a relaxing deck and very kind host. It was amazing listening to the birds at 12:30am while soaking in the hot spring fed outdoor spa watching the colorful midnight sunset, priceless! This highlight was only topped by whale watching from the porch. The cabins are set back slightly from the fjord and the views are stunning!
