This is a lovely guest house less than 10 minutes outside of Selfoss. The provided breakfast was very nice, but I do think it would be helpful if it started earlier than 8am as some people might want to start their day early. The hot tub on site was lovely.

This place is absolutely wonderful! I would love to stay here longer. The guest house is an upscale hostel with a delightful solarium. The grounds are beautiful with trees, flowers and artwork. The coffee house and the people who work there are terrific. They have a little store where you can buy most grocery items you want, including home grown organic produce and baked goods from their own bakery. Their version of Wedded Bliss oatmeal/rhubarb cake was by far the best I had on the whole island....

Truly enjoyed our one night stay at this small cabin. It was a unique experience for us as we always stayed at big hotels.

Top tier spot. Clean, warm in the winter, very responsive owners. Plenty of local stuff to do nearby like waterfall walks, Caves of Hella, wool market, and a cute cafe. A great middle point for exploring golden circle and south coast.

Our one night stay at Landhotel was wonderful. From the moment we arrived everyone was super friendly and helpful. We stayed in April so the place was quiet and peaceful. We drove until we were afraid hotels were going to close and this was closest. No plan except to geocache nearby and drive on in morning. But if we were horse people, this was perfectly situated in pleasant area with several geographical beauties to ride to/by. Staff was awesome, but we saw them for only ten minutes. Askot Cottages are beyond phenomenal! Our best stay in Iceland. The cottage design is thoughtful and purposeful. Every little detail adds to the comfort and experience for the guest. The instructions are presented in a beautifully designed booklet that was clear and complete. All the amenities were stocked and high quality. I wish every place I stayed could be this perfect! Host was nice and friendly especially the goats tour. Guesthouse was very neat clean. Just little messy when taking shower. We also enjoyed the beautiful sunset from our unit. Great stay at Iceland.

The apartment was cute and spotless. The beds were also very comfortable.

My girl Gabby is the BEST, friendly helpful and a great person. What a wonderful person, I would stay here over and over again because of her.

Place is clean and convenient

Very well located, this is a magical, welcoming spot in the middle of the south-western island. The facilities are excellent and the manager (Anias, spelling?) was particularly engaging and accommodating towards us. Our room was on the first floor was clean. During our stay we had excellent dinners at the nearby restaurants.

The hotel is not fancy but it doesn't have to be. The chief/manager was so very kind and made me a packed lunch instead of the contineal breakfast. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. Was a really special spot and one of the highlights of my trip.

Stayed at the two bedroom apartment which was great, loved that they had coffee and a washing machine. The surrounding area is beautiful, their neighbors have precious horses.

I’ve now visited Iceland 10 times, and I’ve stayed at a variety of hotels, guesthouses, Airbnb’s, etc., and Loa’s Nest is by far the best combination of room comfort, cleanliness, cooking amenities, staff communication and kindness that I’ve experienced. The single story guesthouse is extremely well designed with obvious soundproofing, as I didn’t hear a single other person while I was in my room despite the place being full.
