What an amazing location, and the staff are super friendly. We enjoyed walking through the vineyard, the great pool to cool off, and the nice wines from the region. Be prepared for some searching of the actual location even with GPS, and there are few restaurant options nearby. It would be great if the hotel hired a chef and could offer dinner.
We stayed at the Quinta S. Bernardo in late September and we can’t say enough about this property! The property is just beautiful with a stunning view of the Douro River and surrounded by the vineyards. The Quinta is family owned and lovingly and beautifully designed and decorated.
