"We had an amazing trip overall, but unfortunately our experience with the front desk/assistant manager left us disappointed. While he was not outright rude or mean, his attitude came across as dismissive and unhelpful, especially when we were trying to get clarification about our stay benefits. One of the biggest issues was that our reservation included a $300 food and beverage credit. When we asked about it, we were told that we did not have one, so we moved forward assuming that information was correct. Later, while we were already checking out and preparing to leave for our flight, another front desk employee, Lori, kindly looked into it and informed us that we did in fact have the credit. By that point, we only had a few minutes to try to use it, which was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Lori was very sweet, helpful, and professional, and we truly appreciated her taking the time to give us the correct information, even though it unfortunately came too late to really benefit from it. We were also disappointed that the room we received did not match what was advertised when booking. After a long day of travel, we were too exhausted to deal with changing rooms and decided to stay, but it added to the feeling that expectations were not being met. Mistakes happen, but accurate information and a more helpful attitude at the front desk could have made a huge difference in our experience."

"My wife and I stayed 4-nights in the Sunrise Premium Bungalow (2 bedrooms), Huahine View room. The room and view were excellent, right on the water, you could swim from our room. There are only 6 bungalows on the entire island. Very private, quiet , and you can see loads of stars at night. The staff at the was was excellent. Alexandra who handled our booking was very efficient in responding to emails. The boat captain, Solo met us at the Raiatea airport for our 35 minute transfer trip to the island. The receptionist: Solenn met us at our arrival to Eden Island and was an excellent host during our entire stay (very professional). We chose the half board meal package. The chef, Fabrice cooked all meals to order and was able to adjust to our culinary needs. We never went hungry. Beer was cold. The room was very clean and the sliding glass doors overlooked the ocean and reef. There is a nice deck around the outside of the room. Very easy to kayak and snorkel around the island. The ocean water is very clear and warm. Highly recommend this hotel."

Apatoa Beach and Garden Village

"I admit, when in FP I want the 5 star overwater bungalow experience…but we were blown away by the design, attention to detail and beauty of our room at Apatoa! Pinned as “Glamping” due to the structures it was anything but! On entering our room we were met with a five star interior! The pool is lovely, as was our private pool on the deck overlooking the lagoon. There is a beautiful fish filled reef just at the end of the dock. You can swim for hours with the fish, right out your front door! Dinners were impressive and the owners accommodating and friendly. The Island of Raiatea is laid back and peaceful. We highly recommend a visit to this hotel!"

"The staff was awesome. Not only do they exude Polynesian hospitality, they cater to your every need. Checking wasn’t about signing this and that. It was a lei greeting, a chilled, flower scented hand towel, and a cool, refreshing flavored ice tea while sitting in a comfortable chair. Our bags were delivered to our bungalow while we were given the info about meal times and amenities. The food was always a hit. Ono as we say back home. Broke da mout! I’m gonna miss it. Erika and Vaite were working very hard, but they always had a big smile whenever they were with guests. They’d serve every course at every meal with a smile, even if they were just bringing coffee or tea. Walking back from an ocean swim, I’d pass the restaurant and hear “ia orana”. The gentleman keeping the grounds clean and tidy would also greet us without fail. Opoa Beach will make you feel so welcome and relaxed. You won’t want to leave. We will return. Hopefully, sometime soon."

"This is an absolute haven of tranquility and you don’t expect a lodge like that while driving down the East coast of Raiatea. The garden is stunning and you can read about all the plants. By the small beach is a lily pond and the hillside is a jungle of the most amazing vegetation. I was greeted very warmly and shown around, there is a beautiful communal area with a kitchen that is fully stocked and then you have little spaces in and outside of the fridge for the things you buy for yourself. There are no meals offered, you have to prepare them yourself. "
