Awesome property! Beautiful grounds. Staff is excellent, courteous and helpful. Onsite owners are a breath of fresh air. Food is high quality and delicious. Have stayed 2 years in a row and will return. The rooms are large and accommodating with private balcony overlooking the gorgeous pool and striking green scenery. I found nothing I wanted or needed that wasn’t there. Outstanding!
Nice location, they listed there are wifi in all the rooms, but it turned out there was no wifi in the rooms , only outside the hotel rooms you will have access to their wifi, and i specifically booked that hotel because of the access to wifi. So they should correct that wrong information on your expedia website.
This was for a business meeting that was held at the hotel for 2 days. Unfortunately, I didn't get to use a lot of the facilities because of the work. I am a runner, so managed to run in the mornings before work. One run I did along the beach. The beach in front of the hotel is highly eroded, so at high tide, you have to trudge through soft sand until you get a few hundred meters away, where the beach is not eroded. The other run was along the Senegambia highway. This is a very busy road, but at...
Quite a nice place for the price. Big room with a balcony, good restaurant, minutes from the beach. Different types of outlets in the room so you don’t need a converter. Male staff members trying to chat you up are very annoying, so maybe not the most ideal for solo female travelers.
This is a true gem. The owners were wonderful. They called to check on me and even surprised me with dinner a couple nights (which was amazing). The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked well. I will surely stay there again. The WiFi signal was the best I have ever experienced in The Gambia. I highly recommend it. They told me they are opening a restaurant in December which will be great.
Wow, Metzy Residence is more than an Hotel. It is home. The staff is friendly. Attends to your needs all the time. Room is spacious and the decor is really nice. Room is very clean with. I went up there for a wedding. Was surprised when i came back the room was decorated with balloons and flowers and had a complimentary champagne for free at our disposal.
The daily breakfast was nice. I know i would miss it. Overall the hotel is a good bargain price and close to the beach.
