Great place. Best dinner of our trip during the Tour de France. Pool was very nice. So was the grounds of the hotel. The staff was also great. Perhaps the best night of our trip traveling along with the Tour de France.
What a gem of a Bed and Breakfast (and dinner)! We feel very fortunate to have stumbled across this place -- thanks to Hotels.com. Comfortable, quiet room, air conditioning in the midst of this unexpectedly scorching summer. And some of the best food (both dinner and breakfast) that we had on our entire driving trip. Truly an amazing place to stay. If you want to stay in a very old hotel, you will not be able to beat this, maybe 800-900 years old? They have put a lot of effort into updating this place to make it work as a hotel. The only effort that was lacking (maybe my view because I'm American) was that the room didn't have AC. This is truly a special place! Absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had in my entire life! Staff was very helpful and the setting is gorgeous! Not inexpensive but worth every dime. Wish I had a room with a shower, but otherwise everything was exceptional! Look forward to coming back!!
Such a cool hotel right next to a castle. Restaurant on the bottom floor was very good and convenient. The rooms were in amazing shape and the staff was more than accommodating and kind. Would travel back to this area and stay here in a heartbeat.
Our stay at “au pays de Jacquou” was absolutely wonderful. Somehow remote, but also close enough (7 km) to Thenon, the village where we attended a wedding.
Staff (the owners themselves and their little daughter) was very helpful and very kind.

Nice room with excellent bathroom and shower. Family run with love and care. Lovely setting, charming. Excellent, beautiful restaurant. Check in was very friendly with fully fluent English. There is a pool but we did not use it.
