This is one of the most wonderful and comfortable places I have ever stayed. The property is beautiful, the rooms are very large (even by US standards), the breakfast was fantastic, but the people were beyond all expectations. Henri, Veldi, Dominique, and Norwin (the folks who manage and run the place) are the most wonderful, welcoming, friendly and kind people you will meet as a traveler. Truly an exceptional visit. There are no downsides. Just fantastic.
Patrick’s place was fantastic and made our stay in Avignon truly memorable. The apartment was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the air conditioning was a huge bonus—something that can be surprisingly hard to find in France, especially good in the during the warmer months.

The property is a VRBO Style not a hotel. We had problems finding the place initially and had to call Pauline who was very helpful and came out so our Uber driver could get us to the property. Very nice pool and jacuzzi. Our room had a beautiful jetted jacuzzi tub and fancy steam shower. Location is very well situated and about 8 minute walk to the pope Palace and adjacent restaurants.
Le Vieux Castillon is in one of the most beautiful ancient villages that is close to Avignon, Uzes, Pont du Garde, St. Remy de Provence and Les Beaux. We have been going to this area for 15 years for business and this hotel does not disappoint. It may appear a little rustic to some, but the charm is great.
Our hosts were lovely and the stay very pleasant. It was not a private getaway as we had anticipated, however. Our hosts were friendly, but almost always there. We enjoyed the dinner offered as a guest at their family table with the other guests and it was difficult to communicate.

The hotel has a very expensive place for dinner, but I found the menu to not be to my liking, so I didn't try it. After touring Avignon, we would recommend this hotel. Quick check-in, easy parking, and pleasant staff. We loved our room, with balcony and comfortable table and chair, overlooking a garden-like yard. The pool was lovely too.
Spacious room, comfortable bed, free parking. The rooms and the hotel in general were clean. The check in at the reception was smooth. We had a dinner at a nearby restaurant recommended by the staff and it was quite nice. The only downside is the location, which is kind of middle of nowhere but perfect for one night stay while on the road. Overall we had a pleasant stay here.
